2023-24 Autumn/Winter collection launches on 24th June.

「 I’m still tired.
Everything I see looks fake.
The imitations got disheveled in various contexts, and as they wore out, they lost their meaning.
While those that wore out were nothing special, unfortunately, I continue to try to remember what they used to look like.

The boundary between the real thing and a copy is slight and ambiguous as if they’ve lost reason.
Now, rather than something being the original or not, the ambiguous boundary itself is fragile and interesting. 」

2023-24 Autumn/Winter collection, titled “Imitation Complex.

The collection focuses on the puffer series.
The swelling created by inserting padding between the outer and lining material of the items projects the moment when stereotypes of authentic items that continue to be widely circulated around the globe as second-hand clothing collapse.

This season, all the real leather picked for the wear up until now was replaced with synthetic leather.

By applying “spray dyeing” that touches the essence of Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO to the synthetic leather, the series lines up items with expressions of the worn-out likeness of the “real thing.”

The 24 June launch will feature items incorporating dollar bills, the signature work of New York and Tokyo based jewelry designer KOTA OKUDA, as well as synthetic leather, velvet, and other items that already feel ahead of the fall and winter season.

“General Scale” Edit.05 shoe series will go on sale on Saturday 10th June.

Edit.05 shoes future synthetic leather and organic cotton for the uppers.

A total of 10 models will be available, including new colors.

The new synthetic leather material is Cordley®, which is made from Teijin Frontier’s ECOPET®.

ECOPET® is a recycled polyester made from used plastic bottles, clothing and fiber scraps by using the latest technology.

Developed in 1995 by Teijin Frontier, which has conducted development and research based on its corporate philosophy of “contributing to a beautiful environment and future,” ECOPET® has been used in all aspects of daily life and continues to evolve.

Organic cotton is treated with a post-dye process.

Canvas uppers are processed with the sole in the same color to create a unified color tone for a creative footwear look.

The item name “PAST” means “to revive time by reproducing the beauty of time gone by”.

The “PAST sole” sneakers feature a one-of-a-kind sole that faithfully reproduces the worn-out, aged rubber and worn-in texture.

The “vintage-like sole” is made of recycled rubber, inspired by worn-out mountaineering shoes.

The shape of the soles and other details are carefully crafted.

With the belief of “Creation First”, “BEDj.w. FORD” was launched with the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

The Spring/Summer 2017 collection made its runway debut in Tokyo.

The SUKAJAN look caught our attention in the second half of the runway.

It’s more familiar now and is said to stand for the Yokosuka jumper, but do you know how it was born in the first place?

There are various theories about its origin, but it is said to have started after World War II, when American soldiers stationed in the Yokosuka area as Allied troops occupying Japan ordered embroidered clothes from tailor stores as souvenirs.

The shopping street called “Dobu-zaka-dori” in Yokosuka, the birthplace of the SUKAJAN, has a unique atmosphere of a fusion of American and Japanese cultures, and is still lined with SUKAJAN stores today.

Sukajans were born more than half a century ago from the fusion of American and Japanese cultures.

The classic features have reconstructed and the original embroidered SUKAJAN is now available in three colors: black, blue, and green.

The MYne 2023 Spring/Summer Collection will go on sale from 11th February at the official online store and THE PHARCYDE.

The theme of the Spring/Summer 2023 collection is “BORED TEENAGER.

The theme reflects designer Kamiya’s thoughts on current Japanese youth culture.

The number of innovators who were clamoring for the cutting edge in the 1990s and early 2000s has decreased, and movements are no longer happening.

There are a lot of conservative young people.

The avant-garde collection expresses the current atmosphere with the theme of “BORED TEENAGER, an easy-to-understand word.

Trompe l’oeil is a method in which a door, window, or other similar item is drawn inside a space to deceive the viewer.

Revealing the humour of this suffocating real world to light, where despair reigns supreme and too much information causes mayhem.

The general consensus is that fashion can be a therapeutic outlet.

The 2023 Spring/Summer collection, titled “SUPERFICIAL YOU…”.

Denim items will launch on 14th January .

The indigo-colored denim look that caught attentions at the beginning of the runway show in Paris.

Denim and other workwear faithfully and artificially reproduces details of vintage clothing from the 1950s to the 1970s using detailed processing.

Based on layering and combining techniques, the retinal stimulation is incorporated in a light and stylish manner while retaining physicality.

The denim featured in this launch is a jacket and pants.

For the men’s, there are jackets and combining wide pants with full of humor, such as combining a shirt and tie to make it look as if they are layered, or covering another jacket from the back to create a completely different look in the front and back.

For women, cropped jackets and soft, voluminous pants made of tencel material will be available.

Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO’s mysterious character “ KUTSUHIMOMUSUBENA-KUN” is now available as a figures.

The figures will go on sale on 24th December at Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO stores and the official online store.

“VCD KUTSUHIMOMUSUBENA-KUN” is created in cooperation with MEDICOM TOY.

VCD is a soft vinyl figure that faithfully reproduces the charm of the character.

The high quality of the unique technique used to produce the VCD figures has made them a favorite among collectors.

Available in two chic colors, black and gray, so that it can be displayed and played with for a long time.

In the production process, the prototype is molded by a prototype maker like soft vinyl, not by a digital 3D caddie, and the result is somewhat nostalgic and gentle.

“One of my origins is a ソフビ(soft vinyl) figure of an Ultra monster that my grandmother bought for me.”

Designer Mihara has special feelings for ソフビ(soft vinyl).

ソフビ(soft vinyl) is an abbreviation for soft vinyl chloride in Japanese.

A type of figure that is hollow inside is usually called a ソフビ(soft vinyl) doll.

KUTSUHIMOMUSUBENA-KUN is the owner of the concept store “MY Foot Products” and the designer’s alter ego.

Sometimes he goes berserk, and sometimes he is a bit of a maverick, taking actions that he has no answer for.

『 The act of “tying the laces” of the shoes itself evokes various metaphors.

How do you feel about it?

It seems to me that the use of the word “can’t tie” is the antithesis of this metaphor.

In my opinion, “KUTSUHIMOMUSUBENA-KUN ” is a symbol of a loose character.

I think that this sloppiness is what makes people feel healed.

Walking around with untied laces is dangerous, though. 』

“KUTSUHIMOMUSUBENA-KUN “‘s current big dream is to create an amusement park called “MUSUBENA Land!”.
